The third "Housing Finance and Turkey Conference," organized for the second time last year by the Capital Markets Board (CMB) and the Association of Real Estate Investment Companies (GYODER), and which garnered great interest, was held on November 15, 2006, at Swissotel Istanbul. At the conference, where the "Real Estate Sector Research Report II" was also introduced, various topics were discussed, including Global Capital and Real Estate Investments, How Will the Mortgage Market Shape?, New Business Opportunities, Banking, Insurance, Brokerage, Changes in the IT System, Capital Markets and Instruments in the Mortgage Housing Finance System, A Future Outlook on the Mortgage Market: Expectations, Potential, Risks, The Effects of Mortgages on Macroeconomic Indicators, Housing Demand Driven by the Mortgage Market, Expectations of Housing Demand Creators, Expectations of the Construction and Related Sectors, Credit and Price Risks, Legal Risks and Their Management, Tax Law, and Other Legal Risks. The conference, attended by international investors, banks, and representatives of other credit institutions, attracted 620 participants, with contributions from 19 sponsors and 5 media sponsors.
